Copper kettle/waterstones?

Recommended Posts

It was Goldings when it burnt down. The kettle isn't in this picture, not sure when it was taken.

Old Hereford Pics on Facebook has it that it has been sent for cleaning - unlikely methinks. Picture of kettle courtesy of Facebook!

There actually used to be two kettles as I remember, there was a little kettle on the spout of the larger one but the little one has gone. I also remember reading some online discussion about these kettles but cannot remember what it was about.

Linni Barnett Don't worry folks, it's been sent for a professional clean. Should be back soon. I got thoroughly pissed off thinking some Git had nicked it. But it's safe. And yes it is supposed to be outside Waterstones. Was originally a hardware shop I believe?? .

Jean Phillips Goldings . It used to have the Prams and Cots section too where my boys' pram came from - Pedigree Telstar. You placed the orderand returnable deposit but didn't pay for it till the baby was safely delivered.

Tristan Edwards Philip Morris is still there. Don't think the guns are in the window these days though...
Andrew Bowley So has Waterstones got it back from the copper kettle shop down Aylestone Hill?

As far as I remember, it was very much a protected relic and was to be kept in place, so where is it now and who's responsible?
