This is a difficult one to reply to, this man is in obvious need of help and from my understanding from a local friend he was getting a lot of help from various health authorities. He is clearly is huge danger to other people so not sure what the best solution is here without being politically correct. He has murdered his mother, yes we could argue that he probably didn't realise what he was doing, so what now? The help he was receiving was not working and there is probably no real cure here either, secure hospital?
Some people are that ill they are beyond help. Can you ever see this guy being let out again and would you want him to be?
I see it hit the Daily Mail

Merry Xmas all

They should of been banned years ago.

These treasures belong to the people of Hereford and should be made available to view in this museum rather than being hidden away in some old cold damp cellar in the town hall. This is an excellent idea.

I cycled tonight from Newton Farm to Lichfield Avenue, Tupsley. My route was along Great Western Way, along the river to the old bridge and across the cathedral close into St Owen Street, then down Ledbury Road to Lichfield Avenue. I came across at least six cyclists without any lights between the Great Western Way and the Cathedral. In all cases young men with hoodies. The worst example was a cyclist cycling at great speed down the Ledbury Road - no lights or high viz, I could not catch the person up. Had anyone walked out between parked cars they would have been bowled over by this stupid individual.
The police should do more, it will not be long before someone is serious hurt in Hereford again.

This new development looks really quite nice and with parking too.

It appears that stupidity on two wheels is not just limited to cyclists, taken yesterday afternoon at 3.37pm
This should be reported to the police, simple.

Look at this caught yesterday morning, one chap riding into town on the footpath and another chaos riding on the WRONG side of the road coming towards us! We have to keep an eye out for idiots like this all the time.
This is unbelievable really, so one cyclists is riding his bike on the footpath and then this other idiot is riding on the road but in the wrong direction all captured in this one photo, it is not wonder the statistics make for interesting reading. If you had of knocked this prat off his bike they would be looking to blame you as the motorists, how frustrating.

Tractors need to have more lighting on, especially down the side of their trailers. I obviously do not know the full circumstances but I have seen tractors at night hardly lit up at all.
Tragic news for this mans family.

I downloaded this from my Spanish friends Facebook page.
Translated it reads;
Map of terrorist attacks in Europe, Poland has a strict anti-immigration policy, draw your own conclusions...
Not rocket science is it. Good on Poland for standing their ground and not being bullied with EU threats.

This is a wonderful idea, I have not been near the pond for a few years and I can see how bad it has become from the photographs. I like your idea of installing a food vending machine Colin

I've no idea whether Miss Lamputt bears any resemblance to Dame Maggie Smith (aka Miss Shepherd), or if King Bobby could double as Alan Bennett, but this unfolding story bears a striking similarity to the play / film 'The Lady in the Van'. Let's hope the good burghers of Plough Lane show slightly more compassion than the snooty residents of Camden's Gloucester Crescent!
I thought she had been offered a place to live, she was previously evicted, what do you expect the people of Plough Lane to do? Just hand out another house but more to her taste perhaps? I can't believe what I am reading, if they do that, expect more idiots in tents to arrive.

Hereford in Bloom

First off all welcome to the forum, it is always noce to see and welcome new members.
I agree with the most part of your reply however, I am sure you are not suggesting that in Russia she would disappear completely...that said, they wouldn't put up with this stupidity either, equally, I am not so sure it makes me proud to live in a country that does nothing about it.
100%

Hereford is one of the worst places around for weeds and everything is just overgrown, it is like this every year and they want to put a tree boulevard down Belmont Rd, joke!

I am afraid everyone will be a suspect if the Conservatives win with a majority tomorrow. The country is slowly being turned into a dictatorship and police state - common sense has gone out of the window - only acting on orders (viz; they could not comment themselves but were instructed to pay me (Colin) a visit. What happened to neighbourhood watch?
Oh please don't turn this into a political post because you are anti conservative, this discussion is about what Colin tweeted and personally, I think sending the police out to his home is disgusting, not sure what he wrote has anything wrong with it tbh
-
Colin , the way legislation is written they can soon work out a possible offence if they want to . I suppose ( but what do I know ?) that they think that your comments might stir up racial hatred / tension .
Going on from that I can understand your flustration with WMP when nobody attended those two examples of incidences which apparently the Police should attend but send two Officers to your home , perhaps one of them was learning the job .
Hatred /tension to whom?
-
Colin you posted " There should also be a 'Shoot To Kill' policy. "
Of course there is a shoot to kill policy , no Police Firearms Officer or member of the Armed Forces are going to try and wound the aggressor - the policy is to shoot to kill , a wounded person with a gun is still very much a threat
I do not think that is the policy thought, so I agree with Colin.
-
Why have you spoken with them & thats what they want all police to have firearms?
Even if members of my family or friends had been killed or injured I still would not want all the police to have guns that' was my opinion before this attack & it has not changed.
What I find interesting is during these elections we have had 2 attacks yet in France they had none during there elections? it would also appear that these attackers were known to our police beforehand?!
Of course they were known to police, it is always the way, they should have the powers to arrest ANYONE with extreme views on their phones or computers and treat them the same a pedophiles because they are both SCUM.
-
Of course it won't!
The law says we have to wear seat belts in cars but it does not stop accidents or people being killed does it? But it reduces the chances massively!
Exactly.
I was never in favour of arming our police but I agree with Colin, times have changed for the worst and we are now facing people who are happy to die for three cause by killing as many innocent people as possible, taser guns and batons are not up to the job anymore, unfortunately, it is now time for every police officer to be armed in my view.

Yes you are all looking very dapper, the video of Jim is brilliant ha ha he should be on 'Dancing With The Stars'

Omg fire looks terrible, there is nothing on the HT website about this yet, so HV on the ball again. I hope all is ok and that no person is hurt.
Ditto, hope nobody is hurt. How many people work here, let us hope that this does not effect job losses either, which sometimes happens.
-
Have they been up 2 years already, wow where has that time gone?
Shame about the mould already on the walls, I agree with Colin, within a few years these are going to look quite poor unless HH sort it out now, while the builders are still around.
-
If the video is correct it will be nice, just wish they would reduce the amount of traffic lights in this city and sort out a decent bypass.
