I too have always felt that this was a ugly building, lets hope it looks a lot better when the refurbishment is complete. -
Hereford Leisure Centre Being Demolished!
Colin James replied to Colin James's topic in Hereford City
From the HT: -
£3million pound redevelopment begins... It's all happening at Hereford Leisure Centre - the builders are onsite this week working on a multi million pound redevelopment. It is business as usual with all activities running as normal. The main entrance will however be closed, the temporary one will be through the Golf Shop (to the far right of the existing entrance). You can follow the progress on Halo's Facebook Page

Do we have an update Glenda?
-
Thanks Glenda
-
Thank you Glenda, the culprit is obviously in Golden Post but I am sure you have worked that one out. They have a black Labrador dog and some cut tree stumps :). It's either number 3 or number 5 but I think its number 3 I will try and take a drive by later if I can. But the officer will clearly see which house if he come down to the small green at the bottom of Glastonbury Close and has a look from this side.

I appreciate what you are saying but I still think they should all be listed separately. The second someone replies to an old topic it will jump right back to the front page, so force a response that way if you have too my friend.

While I appreciate there are other rubbish/garden tipping issues, please create SEPARATE TOPICS for each one or we will not know what has been sorted and what has not.

Thank you CVP

Cannot Purchase Hot Food In Hereford City After 1.30am
Colin James replied to Colin James's topic in Hereford Voice Projects
I agree, I think Mr Singh was just challenging the silly hot vs cold issue in a sarcastic manner. I also agree that Jim has been assimilated into this idea that all the aggro is caused by chips and kebabs. I have worked on the doors in Commercial Road for many years and as I keep repeating, since they relaxed licensing laws and the days of mass exoduses from clubs at 1am are long gone. But I do agree with Mr Singh on the issue of hot vs cold, in general, most people when they leave a club are starving and just want to eat, they only buy cold food as that is the only option available!!- 291 replies

Cannot Purchase Hot Food In Hereford City After 1.30am
Colin James replied to Colin James's topic in Hereford Voice Projects
I had a taxi home with Mr Singh today, he owns the 'M & G County Wines' off licence in Commercial Road and he was telling me about his hot food application (see this thread). He originally wanted to be able to sell hot food until 4am and Mr Mooney (police licensing officer) advised him that he would need to go to court to apply for those hours but not to waste his money... Mr Singh suggested selling the food in a cold format and he could heat it in an oven for customers and was told NO he could not offer that service, NO HOT FOOD after 1.30am, like me he questioned what's the difference between selling hot or cold food and he went on to say a lot of people only buy cold food because they have no alternative. Mr Singh also explained that the guy who owns 'Munchies' also wants the same hours. I explained about HV and advised him to look and/or register on here and quite a few members would support him in his quest. Now we have 2 establishments that are keen to be able to sell hot food with longer opening hours...- 291 replies

Advice: Parking and penalty notices on private land
Colin James replied to Colin James's topic in Open Forum
K.Butt while I partially agree with your reply, please bare in mind that the landlord get NOTHING from the car park management people (from my understanding), this company merely provide all the signs and tell the landlord this will stop people parking here and we will manage that for you for FREE but they just take the money they earn from the people who are daft enough to pay them. -
Advice: Parking and penalty notices on private land
Colin James replied to Colin James's topic in Open Forum
I think if I was not making enough money from this car park in the week and it bothered me that much enough to prevent people just parking here during the evenings (when it is totally empty) I would install gates or a barrier system but I certainly would not resort to employing scammers with fake looking tickets! So are you in agreement with these private companies issuing these invoices then? -

It's not a ticket... the sooner people start to realise this the better. -

Yes I read this earlier, read my comments on the HT website. The HT event have the title wrong, it is not a ticket and will never will be, it's an invoice and a very dodgy one too! God I hate this scam because that's what it is in my opinion!!
