Yes, I refer to it as HMP Hereford!

Back to the topic in hand though! I am a naturally optimistic person, have always lived on the sunny side of the street, drinking my half full glass of red wine!

However, there is a big difference in optimism and being un-realistic.

The slant that all is good, nothing to moan about here folks, creates the impression that we really should all be thankful for what we have in Hereford, and a lot of people are doing a very good job...queue back slapping all round.

In that self-congratulatory tone, there's not much difference!

If I was trying to find a positive....well, at least it doesn't cost us £74,000 a year! (And its not pushed through my letterbox,as an unwanted gift!)

I still haven't recovered from the addition of the dreaded "Thumb Vote"!!

Well....I haven't abandoned High Town!

I called in at The Butter Market for a cauliflower and broccoli for yet another exciting vegetarian feast....!!

Biomech - this is exactly what I have suggested, both on here and HT.

Two of the best, for the newly slimmed down cabinet, of Tory, IOC and Independant.

All major decisions to go to full council.

This seems to be the only truely representative way - unless I am over simplifying things...???

I have been back to HT, and searched high and low for this, but to no avail.

Unless this is somehow hiding in plain sight, it would appear that it has already faced the wrath of the deleter's button.....!!

So you're really not missing out on much Biomech!

If this happens,it will become an even bigger farce.

The IOC and Independants should have a fair share of the cabinet seats up for grabs(for want of a better phrase) to be able to hold a truly representative place, and have the necessary clout.

If the Independants accept, due to arrangements made "behind closed doors" then we really are no better off at all. It just smacks of desperation.

Oh, I don't know....this whole thing is such a mess.

I really can't wait until they re-furb the Shire Hall.....showers,dishwashers,toilets a plethora of facilities, and I intend to make good use of them all!

I will be outside in my pyjamas first thing to use all that is on offer!!

Biomech, agree wholeheartedly with your last post. They would have been damned if they had taken up this half hearted offer, they need to retain their integrity, or be given more clout!

It took a while, but I have now twigged - these are the Thumb Equivalents aren't they...???

1.They are "monitoring" the situation! That always rings alarm bells!

2."We are confident road users can look forward to some real benefits...."  Like what, celebrating getting another year older whilst sat there????!!

Sorry to sound a bit thick, but if the 20 million pounds isn't released until April, what does that mean?
