I understand that at one time a tram line was mooted to run up & down the lines.

As you suggest, anything that relieves the congestion in Belmont road (esp term times) would be welcome.

I am sure with a little thought the tram could run from the end of the line & link into at least the Courtyard area.

Crossing the A49 into town would be a struggle, but worth a look at, I reckon.

 

As regards the poor lighting here, I can only agree. It's not only disturbing for single ladies, but strapping blokes like me too!!

I never thought of a tram line, not sure if that would relieve the traffic that much as it would act almost like a bus service, we need to reduce the traffic.

I like the idea of making it into a relief road while we wait for the never ending bypass debate to conclude.

With respect, Cllr Powell did not allow other councillors to be slagged off they have allowed it to happen as they have not registered in order to put across their point, with regard to Mr Edwards wife passing away, a legit question was raised and as soon as it was aware that Mrs Edwards was seriously ill, that whole topic was removed by the admin.

 

It is clear now who runs the site and may it long continue to grow as Roger Edwards has said this is a good site, so lets hope we can continue with all the councillors and not just the select few, we and they all have points to raise but if all contribute then there will be clear and accurate statements.

I am pleased that you have informed us who owns the website, but I feel that you may have had no choice in the matter due to constant moans and misinformed information being posted.

The BR website was very biased and messages and emails were usually always altered as someone has already pointed out. What i like about this site is 'what you see is what you get' so to speak..

Belmont, now there is a username, NOT! people who hide behind fake names always have plenty to say, after all, nobody knows who they are, or at leasts that's what they believe to be the case.

Cllr Powell has been a great help to many members here and she does her best to keep all informed, which i might add is 100% more than the other 'so called councillors' so its beyond me why certain members choose to support them, even though they are not supporting us in return, strange...

Anyway, just wanted to offer my support to a great site here, keep up the good work folks, I for one will continue to be as active as possible.

Well, I think that it is a disgrace that other councillors are not here to represent their constituents, most are well aware of this website. I think a few were big fans of the BR website and this is their little protest (just my opinion)which is pathetic in all honesty. The BR website was very limited, this site gives a more immediate and direct communication, which in my opinion is a must. We are now in the 21st century and email, ipods, laptops and alike are here and should be used to there full potential. I like the fact that we have live forums for immediate replys.

The other councillors are failing in their duty to us by remaining absent, but they will soon want our votes no doubt.

We are now in September, do we have any further empty promises from Amey on this simple request?

I know where your coming from with this Colin, they seem to take forever to do what is just a straight forward task, scary eh lol

Colin- as I have said to you before I am following up with Amey to put a yellow box in their recommendations for the proposed wotk around the Belmont roundabout which should of started in June, I will speak to them again on Monday as to what the delay is, reminding them again about the yellow box.

We are now almost into August, any updates on the roundabout?

A number of day tickets, so do we have to pay then to fish in our pool? I am not trying to be awkward here, but if the fisherman have formed some sort of committee they will then think they run the pool, surely this belongs to the group that bought it, not sure that letting the fisherman do this is a great idea.

 

I could form a committee for all the walkers that visit the pool, so would we have as much say in what goes on or are we just offering favouritism to the fishermen?

 

I for one was not aware that any meeting took place, who attended?

That is disgusting and really needs removing as it say in the email it is clearly a health hazard, unreal this is 2010 and still we live in Victorian times.

As I requested the environment enforcement team have got in touch with the owner, they have given him until today to clear the tree and all he has dumped in the brook and embankment, the enforcement officer will be going to Glastonbury Close this afternoon to see if he has done this, otherwise the owner will be called into their office for a formal interview under cautioned for fly tipping offense.

I'd be very suprised if Cllr Phil Edwards registered here at all, he would not want to be criticised, some people only want the glory, Chairman is his title yes? just my opinion. :Angry_32:

I was along this path today and although this was reported as far back as June 21st nothing has been done about it. We are now 5th July.

I have this morning spoken with Craig Sandman and Shane Hancocks about this, have given them the homeowners name and address whilst advising them that I want this man prosecuted for fly tipping.

Yes they should be prosecuted, that's disgusting.

Don't seem to see as many Bee's these days, but this is nice to hear.

I have been for a nice stroll this morning and this area could be so beautiful, but the rubbish and tyres are still there, think Amey needs another phone call. 

Excellent work councillor, we need to keep this centre open, they already have GP facility at the hospital, we need to keep this local.
