  1. Frank- looking at the picture again I recognise the lady in the picture she lives in South Wye and is in her 90s now. I just wonder how many more people thought that it was me because if so, other than the people who support me, then no one really knows who I am!

Glenda, your picture is in the paper more times than I can remember, looking again now I can see that she is older than you but at first glance she does resemble you.

Oh My God! I think I have seen it all now!! I really cannot believe this I am shocked to say the least...this dangerous fence was reported over a month ago, and up until recently nothing had been done about it. I have just come back from my walk along the GWW and see that it has been repaired at last...

This is unbelievable! how can someone be so incompetent? and the best part is that they could not even be bothered to cut the excess from the cable ties!! yes plastic cable ties, I am totally lost for words. Surely Amey never did this work, did they??

The Hereford Times will love this one I am sure.

Unreal!! I have no words..
  3. Are those garages being used? as they look derelict to me, if that s the case why don't they just knock them down or rebuild some new ones because in their current state it only encourages fly tipping and more graffiti.

  4. I had a wonder around the pools over the weekend, the larger pool has a pipe coming into it, and I have to admit it does suspiciously look like serwage to be honest, smell was not pleasant either. Only a few metres from the road on the left side, walk thru the tree's and the pipe is there on the left. I wish I had taken a picture now.

  5. Glenda, yes they were Amey staff!

I have today met with Neil Davies from Amey who informed me that the reason that the tree's have not been collected is because 2 members of the pilot team needed training to be able drive with a trailer (wood chipper) and that they will be returning tomorrow.

We also both agreed on several area's that need additional work to be carried out before the job is completed, which will happen tomorrow at the same time.

Thank you Neil for all your help today. :Thumbs-Up:

Good result again, well done councillor James lol :Thumbs-Up:

  6. I was out walking the other day and could not help but notice how many people do not wash the items that they put into their recycle bins. I thought that this was required, also how many people put the wrong items in their bins, such as polythene and tin foil which they do not want. So I have created this poll and thread for discussion :Thumbs-Up:

I always clean bottles cartons etc before I place them in the recycle bin.

    No Polythene!

    No Bottle Tops!

    No Silver Foil!

    No Black Plastic!

Good news :Happy_32:  Craig Sandman contacted me this morning, He and his colleague called on the colprit yesterday and after they were given some story, he gave the resident 10 days in order to get it cleaned up. Thank you Craig Thumbs-Up.png Now we should see something happen, I will let you all know once it's how cleared.

Well done Colin, good news indeed and an excellent response from Craig Sandman and his colleague. Thumbs-Up.pngThumbs-Up.png Lets hope that these furs are removed over the weekend.

Well I have not heard a thing more about this from anyone. Justine said that she had emailed the DOT but they can take up to 2 months to reply, that was back in March, we are now in September, so 6 months have passed, I will give her a call now and try and find out what's happening.

Good idea Councillor James, please let us know what is said  :Happy_32:
  9. Well it would be something new if Amey would actually listen to the public. They obviously will need to come back soon.

I found one of your original requests for this action as far back as 2009

    Once it was pretty; now

it needs a dose of TLC

New fence In reply to the email from Rebecca Morrison, she is 100% correct. The new fence needs repairing. As of this moment only one upright is damaged (so much for it being indestructible) so this could be fixed without too much hassle or cost. But if it is left it will only encourage other damage.

I have also noticed that McDonald's have piled up a massive amount of wood (removed in order to install the fence) on their side of the fence - as previously pointed out, a fire waiting to happen.

Brook This brook is apparently cleaned regularly. In 20 years I think I have only seen the council here two or three times at most. Even on those occasions it was only a half-hearted exercise.

This little field at the bottom of Glastonbury Close (public open space) used to be so pretty but all the surrounding trees and bushes have never been trimmed or cut back and, after 20 years, it looks horrible. This also encourages the idiots who, in the past, have caused the fires and damage, to do the things they do. If the trees and bushes round the outside of this field were cut right back and tidied up this would help restore it to how it used to look.

Why don't the council just spend a few days chopping these trees and bushes back and reducing the height, cleaning out the brook properly and removing all the rubbish. This would go a long way to making things better and is long overdue.

  10. I am sorry to be negative here, but how vile is the colour paint that they have used around The Oval? it's like a cheap yellow! Could they not of come up with just a pale cream or something, anyway besides that,, I thought that it was all being knocked down?? so why are they wasting more of our money on this pointless scheme, I mean it's been okay for the past 20 years or more so why decide to paint it now?
