Welcome . I am always intrigued why people choose to move to Hereford, don't get me wrong I am Hfd born and bred but why Hereford ??
-
First can we all be painent please. When you move into a new house is everything perfect straight away? It is not a road to no where , it is a road to the future. At nearly 70 I regret I am unlikely to see it full fill its true protential. It had opened up an area I suggest most of you have never seen before. It allows the new Police/ fire station to be built and access to the new doctors medical hub. New homes can be built for the people who so badly need them now and for those who will be coming into the county to new jobs at the university and at Rotherwas, that will help to build the economy of the county.
It has taken nearly twenty years to design and build and advise given from road experts from outside the county who develop roads like this nation wide. Please give it a chance to settle in, it may have taken some of you by surprise and taken longer to get to your destination, but are you sure it was the new road that held you up and not the Christmas shoppers wanting to come into town to spend their money?
Christmas shoppers being held up by bad timing of traffic lights, junction not fit for purpose Edgar Street end and new paving outside Morrisons was flooded after a small amount of over night rain , again all this in under a week. I dare say there is more I have missed . Who is this actually helping ?? Other than the obvious ????
-
The link road lights in Edgar st,footie ground car park,Widemarsh St & Morrisons-train station junctions are totally unnecessary.
What was wrong with just installing roundabouts ?
A woman working in Morrisons said a few months ago there was going to be a roundabout, certainly would have kept the flow . Every route into town is blocked now due to all the fresh lights. It seems it isn't working very well.
-
Not running too smoothly near College bridge at 11 am new traffic lights causing a build up back to bridge , tail backs that were not there before lights, traffic moving slower than before. Edgar St tail backs . New junction layout by KFC confusing most people who cannot work out which lane they should be in to approach Aylestone Hill. And I haven't been on the new road yet.
-
Oh so no grand opening ceremony?!!
All slipped in quietly without any ceremony , I wonder why ???
-
It will be awash with Tory plants no doubt
-
I cannot believe how many drivers can't work out the new lane layout at the lights by KFC heading towards Aylestone Hill, left lane for Morrisons/ new road right lane for hospital or Aylestone Hill. It has even been colour coded ffs. Same as approaching the roundabout by Pizza hut from A49 people just seem to be confused .

Probably within a year or two their profits will be up due to this decision ,
-
Hereford store will never be a big player , due to a failing local council , traffic , people staying away and forthcoming street parking charges doesn't bode well for any city ctr business . As it is a newish store I dare say it won't be for the chop just yet . Maybe 3 to 5 years
-
I took a builders bulk bag of hedge trimmings and grass there once and parked up and walked it in, dragging across the yard I was stopped by the big fella. "You can't just walk waste in " he said , I laughed and carried on . Complete nonsense. It has got to be staffed by the most unhelpful bunch in town.

As a business Thorntons offering their products on super mkt shelves was probably a wise move , they could close most shops and still do well. Times change and the same has happened to other products inc the dry cleaners that was there and Argos of course
. Simply placing the product where the public shop. No consolation to those losing their jobs . I can't remember the last time I went to Eign gate let alone Thorntons .

A vision that will never turn into a reality . It is Hereford at the end of the day . Whoever has wasted their energy on even letting this "vision" get off the drawing board should be sacked . It ain't happening ...
-
How the road """"""""" could"""""""" look , yes it could look like that and I could look like Bradd Pitt , I don't and all that in the video will not happen....
-
Pity you didn't think to take a screen shot but it is very sad if the media behave in this unfair/untrue manner
Seriously ?? You didn't realise this ??
-
Sign as many petitions as you want , he will be here . Mayhem couldn't get her snout up his arse fast enough . *** for tat , you scratch my back etc etc . Like him or not he's coming .
-
Does anyone know where the name originated from , part of it was I was told by my Mother who is 82 the Beau was Beaumont as in Sam Beaumont and another started it , who knows who the other partner was ??
-
End of the day it's Hereford , unfortunately when it comes to bypasses we have ended up with the shittiest part of the 5h1t end of the stick and I as a 53 year old will never expect to see it in my lifetime and as I do not have off spring it doesn't really matter when I am gone . Anyone wishing or hoping or believing it will be any different anytime soon .................................. Good luck with that
For those that don't already know this has been going on since mid 80s , but probably before that ffs

Is that the same Darren Sockett who was suppose to be sorting out the butter market as of which nothing have been done?
Yes.
-
Land belongs to Darren Sockett. He begged it .
-
The Old Market is a private complex.
Hereford City centre has become very unkept and is in need of a good clean up.
I realise that, the council are taking their eye off the ball again . With the plans to charge for street parking and the like they are clueless.
-
Oh but isn't the new Old Market part nice and clean . Along with extortionate rates, soon to be charging for parking in the streets they really do know how to drive the nails in the coffin of a dying town .
-
Driving from Gloucester to Hereford via Dymock recently we lost count of the Vote Leave signs . First stay sign we saw was on Aylestone Hill
-
Been saying it for years, they don't like us, even more so now we are toying with getting out, look at the money they will lose

As Vince Cable said though they have become like banks , getting too big to fail. If they go down or bailed it will hurt either way in as much as the taxpayer will foot the bill either way . Those at the top will be sitting pretty either way . The UK is in such a mess at the moment it will just add to the mix.
