I agree with all of what you have said. And maybe have a park and ride on the outskirts of Hereford, that would free up the city centre.

The Regulatory Committee and the council have known for a few weeks that a whole day was needed to hear this.So why did they waste everyones time and money and not rearrange the hearing for the full day. :Angry_32:

I think Roger Edwards is saying that it looks like you are giving preferences to Cllr Powell ,it is because she is the only councillor on here answering questions. While Cllr Powell is still on here answering everyones questions the other councillors will not come on here. I can understand why as we all know some of the councillors and we all know which ones they are don't get on with each other :Sad_32: . It would be nice to have other councillors on here one day and hopefully this will happen in the future as this is a good site

I asked why the BR website was closed down and the editer sent this reply :- As I explained, I was threatened with defamation proceedings. From professional experience I know that these are both expensive and time-consuming even if you win.This is why it closed down and it is a pity it did close it was a good website and alot of the other councillors went on it . This website is good and hopefully one day the other councillors will join it. :Smile_32:

I was talking to one of the fishermen who is on the commitee and he said they are doing it not the council and they would be doing it this weekend.I did not know there was a meeting about the pools last Friday if I did I would have gone.You would have thought the meeting would have been advertised on here. And I only complain when there are things to complain about,I write a nice comment and I still get moaned at.No wonder a lot of the people which were on the other website don,t come on here who can blame them.

I took my dogs for a walk up to Belmont Pools today and couldn't believe how clean it was. No rubbish left around the lake,there has been no bonfires it is a pleasent place to walk around now.There are lots of ducks and the turtle was sat on the log with them.And hundreds of Dragonflys,the only problem are the tyres which are still there but I was told they are cleaning it out this weekend. Many thanks to the fishermen and women who have been looking after it they are a great credit to our community.

It's not a little dramatic if a child dies because of poisoning or drowning. :Sad_32: Lets hope the waste isn't poisonous.

The whole area needs cleaning up,I don't even take my dogs up there anymore just in case they drink the water or swim in it.Imagine children swimming in it .They could catch anything. Putting signs up won't stop the kids swimming in it. It needs fencing off and a dangerous keep out sign putting up.

I am not stupid, I know about computers as well.It was my 11 yr old son who registered on here as football boy and wrote the comments he has now been banned from coming on here.And please can you remove him from this website.He has had a good telling off. Thanks

It is not a personal attack or a nasty sarcastic comment on cllr powell. I was only commenting on what I saw up the lake today.Instead of asking another councillor about the rubbish up the lake why couldn,t cllr Powell have gone and seen for herself or just said she would look into it and see why Amey hadn't cleared the rubbish. I thought that is why you are a councillor to help the people in the community. I will not be writing any thing else on here because someone complains about things they don't like it was the same on the Belmont rural website and that closed down.

Thats funny I took the dogs for a walk this morning, Wednesday and the Tyres are still in the same place as 2 months ago.They are on the far side by the Haywood lane and there is some about 30 yards east of the first lot,the carpet is still in the water on the north side.Are you not a local councillor representing Belmont are you not able to act on your own , it looks like you have to have to Councillor Edwards to hold your hand. I have a lot of admarration for you and I think you are a good councillor ,but what suprises me is why do you need councillor Edwards help.

Yes I do know what i'm talking about,I looked on the council website and according to that you attended council meetings in November 2009,feb 2010,march 2010 unless your name isn't Councillor G A Powell.It's there in black and white.

Have you walked around the lake since then, there is still tyres and Tvs, carpets in the lake so it has not been cleaned up. Back in March there was a meeting at the Kindle Centre where a litter pick was arranged which was done,and for Amey to clear the lake and to do some pruning to branches.This was not done and it has been over 2 months since the meeting.

The picture is lovely, but if you walk around the lake it is a disgrace.Rubbish everywhere old tyres in the water and other items. I walked around there a few weeks ago with my dogs and my mum and dad i felt embarressed taking them around it. There needs to be a big clean up.Who is incharge of the lake, they need to pull there finger out and tidy it up.

No body made sarcastic remarks to you on the other website ,they were just asking the questions every one was wondering.How could you attend the Hereford council meetings and not the Parish council meetings over 6 Months?.And if you get re elected will you attend the parish council meetings?. Who actually closed the Belmont Rural Website, I think the evidence is clear to every one.I just wonder how long this website will stay open?.
