Slim
Having served in Submarines in Royal Navy and then spending 11 years in the Merchant, I remember 3 of my ship mates every year. Rest in perpetual peace.
Ubique
Attended St Peters Sq this morning for the Armistice Day Service . Very good turnout considering the adverse weather . We did wonder that because of the weather the primary school children would attend , as they have done on previous years. They did , full marks to their teachers and helpers for taking the time to escort the youngsters to the War Memorial . It doesn't end there because I am sure that prior to their attendance the children had been doing Projects etc. on the reasons why they attend the WM on Armistice Day. Thank you from an old Veteran . ( who like Slim has lost very good mates just doing their job ) RIP COMRADES.
Aylestone Voice
I was also in St Peters Square and agree that the turnout was good. Credit to the schoolchildren and their wreaths as well as the representative from Belgium Also spent sometime at St Martins Church graveyard reflecting on the sacrifice of our armed forces
