As someone who occasionally buys things from the corner shop on Belmont Road/Avenue. I was shocked to see the photo and report online this morning. The staff there are always polite and friendly. The customers are not all boozers. I often see older people who don't want to walk as far as Asda. I really think the Hereford Times should get their act together when publishing photographs of the wrong place (not the first time) The people who run this shop deserve a proper apology.
Also, the real shop in question was previously a newsagents before Asda opened, then selling washing machines etc. I have seen no planning applications for change of use to allow selling food etc. . If the licensing people object, why has no change of use been approved.
I think that you maybe confused with the shop in question, this is the EMPTY shop formally Appliance shop and years ago it was Quinsey's. The new tenants are opening a store called Istanbul but they are the same people from our understanding that run Bedronka in Eign Gate and have been previously prosecuted for selling illegal tobacco.

This is a really good photograph, I like the idea of taking it from within the passage opposite too

Councillors talk about transparency, but would you realise that Dave Greenow is a Conservative candidate for Hagley ward based on his letterhead which says ‘Independently minded’. Nowhere in his letter does he state he is a Conservative and there is a danger that some of the electorate will just see the “independently” word as an inference that he’s an Independent.
With Jonathan Lester being in the Hereford Times recently for using images which implied he was involved in certain projects, which was not the case, you would have thought they would have been more careful. Or perhaps they are having their hopes on people thinking they are Independent! Perhaps the Tories are embarrassed about being Tories now
Is this the very same Dave Greenow that boasts about shooting over 15 dogs on his land, vile man!

Some excellent photographs certainly captured the moment

I heard from a reliable source that regardless of vehicle if one of your parents has passed away and you explain that you are tipping the contents from their house they have to let you tip. I am also aware that you can park outside and walk the rubbish in, so whats the bloody difference? They are just making it difficult for genuine people too, it is no wonder that people dump mattresses and chairs etc

I read that this man had a mini stroke, so this could happen to any of us, glad to see that nobody was hurt and hopefully the gentleman will make a full recovery.

Rural locations many of these I notice.

It is only going to get worse, the sooner we can leave the EU completely the quicker we can rebuild our country and stop spending billions of pounds

Merry Christmas one and all

I wonder where they are going?

Welcome to the forum acitizen76.
This sect is often in the news for all the wrong reasons. Weird lot if you ask me and it all appears to be about money, did they take much money from her?

CHANGE OF USE FROM ASSEMBLY AND LEISURE D2 (SPORTS PAVILION/CHANGING ROOMS) TO NON RESIDENTIAL INSTITUTIONS D1
Current use - Changing and viewing area for outdoor sports used at weekends during the winter and also during the week in the summer months. The building is situated on common land and serves games pitches adjacent. The building has stood since the inter war years and has been extended to the rear in the past with timber frame extensions.
The playing fields are let to the Lads Club. The Lads Club have their own modern changing facilities on adjacent land. The Widemarsh Pavilion building therefore; has not been used as a changing room for circa 2-3 years.
The Council wish to relocate Echo Herefordshire to the Widemarsh Pavilion. Echo Herefordshire provide leisure and social services for people living in Herefordshire with disabilities.
Echo in association with The Green Eyed Monster Company run a service currently operating out of the ground floor at Governors House in Hereford that run workshops for recycling vintage and modern clothing. This provides work placements for adults with mixed abilities Incidental to this Echo operate a vintage and modern fabric shop.
This is a good idea and will stop all the negative things happening in there.

Wonderful, we are going today

This looks nice in fairness and they have allowed ample parking, not sure they need 16% for disabled bays though. In a residential location surely a parking space is parking space?

Ticks all the boxes, including the one marked: "Looks like an army barracks".
It's a hotel...
I am sure it will look a lot better than is there currently, hopefully this will encourage HFC to tidy up the stadium
