  1. After the story in last week HT about WMP officers arrests, for 300 violent offenses, 140 sex crimes including 12 rape, and over 100 traffic offenses, and one officer sent to prison for death of shopkeeper, only to be reinstated after serving his sentence. 14 people left a comment, only for all to be removed by HT. I doubt they will get any recruits! unless the police doesn't check for criminal records. Unfortunately there are already BAD OFFICERS in Hereford

  2. NO' HHL money is used on the various contract for building of new or replacement housing, recent development  in South Wye started off 8 years ago with the Oval Regeneration in Newton Farm, Brummy Stokes Court, and at the end of this year replacement of Prefabs in Beattie Ave in Hunderton, they have two developments in the City, as well developments North of the City. HHL and Shropshire Council have amalgamated they are now named Conexus just in case anyone didn't know.

  3. I agree with everything Aylestone Voice has written, this was supposed to happen 50 years ago instead we got the Greyfriars bridge. The route from the south was to get houses built which in my opinion  would just make the matter worse and there is no outlet to get to the north from the south. HC over the years have just wasted tax payers money on many fanciful things that cost more than the original price in the end.

In  regard to the new council alliance I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them. After just one week of being in office the Herefordshire Independent leader left the Alliance with some of the Independents because IOC caused a lot of trouble and the election promises the Alliance made to the electorate  were immediately abandoned. You CANT TRUST THEM!!!

  4. Roger... Where I appreciate you contacting your  councillor Kath Hey, I am not surprised she hasn't answered she not the councillor for Newton Farm, Bernard Hunt is.

Martin... There is another website for NF called Nextdoor, Bernard Hunt address according to him is Cedar Close which is where Phil Edwards lives,  Maybe he asking him to take his calls/emails?

  5. Martin no surprise there regarding local councillor Bernard Hunt, Like Phil Edwards he got a reputation for ignoring his constituents, ask anyone in Bromyard, he not allowed to stand there again. Going back to the state of the trees and pathways, ring HC on 260000 and ask for Belfour Beattie and speak to them yourself. Other than that send your photo to HT and tell them what you written on here.

  6. Roger.... we all have our opinions, but bungalows are not a waste of space. Why don't you think of it in another way, there are many elderly people living alone in  3 bedroom houses who could and have given the houses up for a bungalow. When the elderly people living in Newton Farm 3 story flats, they asked for a bungalow there are 16 bungalows around the Oval that are occupied by those people, other in Newton Farm and Hunderton have given up houses for families, and have been moved to bungalows all over Hereford.

  7. TWG... Keepmoat stems from the north of the country and they have a very bad reputation that said in regard to HHL Oval development, they did have a different contract builder but Keepmoat put in a lower bid, and when they got the contract they change  what they were going to build, no flats were supposed to be built and they were never on the planning application, the properties built 2,3,4 bedroom houses were supposed to be for the families and elderly people that lived in the 3 storey flats but only 60 families got them the remaining 135 that were build Keepmoat kept them to sell, but as I said before ALL the properties has vaults in them, and the ones opposite me it was found when  the kitchen fitter came, the houses were built without the services (gas, electric and water) had not been put in, sorry I gone off the subject, going back to Beattie Ave, the block of flats when built they did not make the flat roof weather proof and the heavy rain water came through all the flats, the people were claiming damages for their homes and HHL got another contractor to replace the roof which cost them £26,000. In regard to the prefabs they were built after the war, and very spacious, and the people loved them, yes they could build highrise flats but what happened in London and the loss of life I don't think they would be allowed to build any.

As you probably know I was a councillor for 12 years for the Belmont Ward which consisted of Belmont, Hunderton and Newton Farm, and I was totally involved with ALL my constituents, and anything build in the area.

  8. H Wilson... You say your aunt lives in a modern block flats in Leeds, with respect Leeds isn't Hereford. Keepmoat who has the contract built the block of flats at top of Beattie Ave, they have not got lifts neither has the ones over the road from McDonalds. And both blocks of flats have had and still have problems, as well as all the houses and bungalows at the Oval.
