Hereford Voice Posted January 4, 2021 Report Share Posted January 4, 2021 The public are being asked to follow the new rules, which replace the current tiers system, from this evening and with people instructed to "stay at home" as they did during March's first lockdown. All schools will close with immediate effect. It comes as the UK recorded 58,784 new cases of the virus – the country’s highest daily increase to date, and the seventh day in a row it has registered more than 50,000 new infections.
