Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine approved for use in UK.

The MHRA, the UK drug regulator, has given approval to the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine to be used for immunization on British soil. The formula is the second one given the green light in the country.

The first doses due to be given out to people from Monday 4th January 2021 amid rising coronavirus cases.

The UK has ordered 100 million doses - enough to vaccinate 50 million people.
