  1. I'm a massive Hereford supporter, have been for a long long time but how many 'locals' have been to watch your 'professional' club??

    post-109-0-36344800-1396033793.png

It's heart breaking to think that the last few home games maybe the last that will be played at Edgar street.
I'm not going to bore you with the details because I'm guessing you've all read about what's going on already but to be frank its the same old story with a small club
    Club gets taken over
    New owners promise the world
    New directors overspend
    Bad management
    Bad leadership
    Supporters lose patient's
Now there's quite a lot going on to try and SAVE HEREFORD UNITED to raising money to a March through the city centre starting from the 'Victory' pub
'Yes' its not much (or not enough) but we CAN'T GIVE UP! !!
But the one thing that 'will help' is to get as much bodies through the turnstiles so please PLEASE for these last few games TURN UP BUY A PROGRAMME BUY A PIE even TRY THE SPICY SOUP! !
DONT LET THE CLUB DIE BECAUSE OF A FEW - SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL CLUB! !!

  2. That is bullshit propaganda that did not need to be included

That is bullshit because we pay for them, we also pay them for the service of weekly collections.

Ridiculous piece of logistics, whoever thought up that date needs to be fired.

A major change in waste disposal right before Christmas when services are cancelled at that time of year already, with an increase in waste and leaving no room for people to adapt to a new routine.

  3. Where I'm living at the moment the collections are on a Monday,

On Monday morning I put the black bags out and also the recycle bin and as like every other Monday morning the dustbin lorry came around the corner picking up all the black bins then disappeared around the corner

Half an hour later another lorry came round the corner and started to empty all the recycle bins which got me thinking (thanks to this thread) how is the council saving money??

    Two teams of men

    Two lorries

    Maintenance of lorries

I'm guessing that the bags and the stuff out of the bin are going to separate places

The stuff out of the recycling bin will need sorting out so that means more staff??

And I'm sure I've forgotten quite a bit more???

    Where are the savings???

  4. Has a previous poster said "thought the government said that the two week collection should end"(or something like that)

thought I heard/read the same somewhere and I'm sure one or two councils have stopped them too because of health & safety? ?

Personally I find it disgusting to have bins unemptied for over a week, in the winter there's Christmas with amount of rotting food and drinks and there's the summer with the hot weather (and you think sun valley smells bad!!!)

  5. 'Well' this is an eye opener for me

    I know nothing about this,

I know you need Web sites but didn't know they even cost even 'half' of this!!!

More waste 'but is it?' Our council seem to 'waste' money in every area?

If they were a private company they would've been out of business years ago!!!

I am seriously starting to think all this 'wasted money' is deliberate

  6. We are already forced into buying bags for our rubbish because the council at the time said that they can no longer afford to provide them?

So where's the money coming from to provide every household with an extra wheelie bin??

And quite a few people struggle to find room to stall the green wheelie bin so how are you expecting them to find room for an extra one??

Does all this cost cutting mean that the local councillors and people working for the council that earn over 40 grand a year are willing to take 15%off ttheir salary? ??

  7. I'm not knocking it because Hereford city needs it
But "when does the development finish"??
I'm sure somebody said just before the first brick was laid that it would be late March early April.
The reason I'm asking is that I've drove past the site a number of times and it seems to me that it may take a lot longer,
Or will 'only parts' of the site be open first??

  8. Sorry to say this Glenda but more and more people are turning off politics and believing that politicians only think about themselves being driven by greed & money, and this 'so called' job for over £500 A DAY?? proves my point

I take home just over half that A WEEK??? and I feel 'lucky'!!,

lucky I'm healthy, lucky I've got a loving family and 'LUCKY' I've got a job!!

I get really mad that when I get home from work all I hear and see is politicians going on and on about We are here to serve you we are going to make this country/county better.

More and more people are now starting to wake up to the fact that 95% of them are talking 'Boll####'!!!!

Sorry Glenda for being 'sharp' its not aimed at you, you come across as a very caring councillor but it is part of what I feel towards the other 95% whether they are conservative, labour or even the other

'Apologies' but I had to let it out

  9. Do one of these people have to harm themselves or worse still kill themselves before Hereford Council take responsibility! Errrrr let me think? Yes of course they do!

I really do believe that the councillors that make the decisions in this country wouldn't give a monkeys if somebody did that

And I know I'm not the only one that thinks that!!

It's all about money, lives (sadly) no longer count

I'm probably going to be lambasted for saying this but 'honestly' I really believe that most councillors (and MPs) don't give two shits about anybody else but themselves!!

  10. Yesterday while driving back from Bristol i was listening to the Adrian Goldberg slot on radio 5 live and he was talking to somebody from the 'food bank' and also somebody from the council ( the name has slipped my mind) about a grant that ALL COUNCILS ACROSS BRITAIN had to help with the needed,

Now, most councils across Britain have already spent about half of what they were given since April apart from two, who were one council in the north east and the other (yes you've guessed it) ....Herefordshire council who had only paid out just over 1% of the money to the needed??

You think that's bad enough 'this money' which was supposed to be for the needed has now been moved into another 'pot'??

The woman from the food bank said that she has asked about it and also asked the people she helps whether they have been offered it ....nothing??

The councillor who they interviewed just said they are keeping it for more important things (I'm sure that's what he said but I might be wrong) and it was a lot better for whoever offer help to be transferred to a charity who could help them

Now, I'm doing this mostly by memory as I was driving and busy up to now but I was fuming to say the least!!!

Can anybody 'fill in the gaps' and give me more information about this please.
