I agree Dippy this thread got out of hand but if we start attacking the very people who fight to stop this behaviour then we really are doomed!

 

I stand by everything I said, this was an important thread and it deserved some respect, which it didn't get from a number of posters. Did Paul 'over retaliate' I'm not sure if did given his daily battle trying to fight for justice for these people that needed a voice and found it in Paul. I was incensed that two posters saw fit to give the thumbs down to the thread. That action alone was not an attack on Paul but on everything contained in the topic.

 

For those with no personal knowledge of Paul Cardin. I guarantee that if you are disabled, abused, vulnerable or victimised in any way Paul Cardin would be the first one standing in front of you! That includes standing in defence of every poster who ever attacked him that is the measure of the man, he deserves some respect.

Clarkester, You stated WirralPCs post was a bit unfair? Before I respond my comment to you was more in the way of a warning to be cautious before you respond to the thread, I am also not aware of you ever having commented on any of these important issues.

 

So there's absolutely no confusion here, let me explain what I see.

 

Paul Cardin posts a thread containing some of this Countries 'hidden' systematic abuse and cover ups pertaining to vulnerable members of Society perpetrated by Local Councils and Senior Managers assisted by Unions and Government bodies like the IOC and sanctioned by the lack of response from our MPs.

 

Roger either totally ignores the thread or he attempts to undermine and provoke a response from PC. I am guessing he posted on the wrong thread and I am hoping that is the case, although I recall previously Roger telling WirralPC to stop 'banging on about the abuse of disabled people.'

 

I am not surprised in the least by the lack of responses on the topic since it appears to be the norm when any emotive subject is posted, with the same few posters commenting. I am confused why that should be, when these topics should be some of the most commented on? If you're not interested in the topic 'don't post'! Certainly don't make comments like close the door on your way out! If you've nothing to contribute and you don't care about the systematic abuse of disabled vulnerable people stay off the thread!

 

I find it ironic that the bullying mentality exists anywhere in society and instead of provoking outrage amongst posters it facilitates more of what we are complaining about. It is interesting that you use the phrase 'attacking him' because that's exactly the behaviour we are talking about. I was also not surprised by the comments from AV, TWG or PeteBoggs nor am I surprised by the 'gang mentality'!

I also note that 2 members of this forum gave the first post on the thread a thumbs down? That turned my stomach and proves my point! That anyone should do that on such an important issue is beyond comprehension and depicts everything wrong in our Society!

 

TWG I do know you, I know you care nothing for the abuse of disabled vulnerable people and your behaviour endorses that. Not sure I need to know any more, I'm sure you will correct me if I'm wrong?

What a mindless bunch of morons, Pete Boggs, Aylestone Voice, and TWG actually are, I had my suspicions but thank you you've confirmed it! I await your retort with eager anticipation!

 

Paul Cardin has more integrity honesty and decency than any of you could ever hope to have! A quick recap on the issues Paul Cardin has sunk his teeth in and won't be letting go of are the systematic abuse of disabled and vulnerable adults which includes allegations of rape! Gangs forming care agencies targeting vulnerable members of our society. The rewards heaped on the likes of Bill Norman who rocked up here some time ago and picked off where he left off on the Wirral. Payments to Senior Officers at Herefordshire Council for 'proven' bullying and harassment of disabled employees! Corrupt unscrupulous Unions double dealings with employers behind members backs, happening now in Hereford!

 

I am absolutely confident that Paul Cardin has plenty of things he could be getting on with! But he chooses to fight against and for the vulnerable people suffering this terrible abuse rather than to follow your example which would appear to condone this type of behaviour! It's not on your doorstep so it's not your problem? Correct me if I'm wrong but have you actually supported any of the many threads on this forum highlighting abuse? I think not, why is that?

 

Let me hazard a guess? You are morally devoid of any kind of empathy towards disabled and vulnerable people? You sanction senior Managers using their power to systematically abuse vulnerable people? It's not on your doorstep it hasn't happened to you or yours, so it's not really your problem?

 

Roger you went off topic, I read your post on WirralPCs thread and thought you'd either lost the plot or posted on the wrong thread. Or are you one of the apathetic listed above who choose to attack the fact that WirralPC is campaigning on issues that should be at the forefront of every decent honest person who has a moral conscience?

 

While you're all patting yourself on the back and telling yourself that you are an upstanding member of society, Paul Cardin is fighting for those people, because 'they' asked him to! They asked him to because they knew 100% that Pete Boggs, TWG, AV and Roger to name but a few and residing on this forum, didn't give a ***t that they were threatened and abused had lost their homes or that they will never work again!

I agree megilleland, there would be seven less conservative councillors if the IOC and the independents had done a deal, this shouldn't be about IOC or the independents policies it's about getting the Torys out, I wonder if a deal could also be struck with the lib dems as well? Target the Torys, only have one person standing against them, target every ward and we just might get our county back and in the process take that smug look off their faces.

As you know I stood for IOC and was unsuccessful but my partner did get elected so I'm making bullets for her to fire so to speak, I'm also going to join the executive board of the IOC so I welcome all ideas and help.

Well said! The first step is to persaude the Independent Councillor in the by-election to stand down!!! Or vice versa !

Now the local elections are over maybe the council can get its expenditure figures updated and published. The last figures published are January 2015.

Glenda when you've recharged your batteries I would start explaining your comments. This game we're playing gets dirtier by the second. We the electorate trade insults with Councillors from opposing parties on a daily basis and we convince ourselves we are on the right side, human nature dictates we choose sides and we do it automatically, we are drawn to the pack mentality. We are not developing a bond of friendship with these parties, that's not the way it's supposed to be, Councillors work for the electorate you're not there to make friends, that in itself will lead to accusations of foul play.

 

There are many good people in all the parties but just because someones a great guy that doesn't make them the best choice to represent the electorate in the Council chambers. I also have overwhelming evidence all is not what it seems and I'm a supporter of IOC! However that just means they have a lot to learn. If I dicover my elected Councillor can be brow beaten into submission by the administration when they should be representing me, I will be screaming loudly. The only way forward in my opinion is the 'transparency' we all crave. When those cameras start rolling in the Council Chambers people will finally see how strong their candidate is and which battles they chose to fight! Glenda, you are now in a unique position to inform the electorate even if some people don't want to hear it. The more people who freely discuss what they know the more likely it will be that Elected Councillors will pick up their game and clean up their acts!

Denise we can only move forward when we admit our mistakes and don't make them again. People need to feel free to voice their opinions and take critism on the chin hold their hands up and say 'yep' big mistake won't be doing that again! It's not a question of forgetting about it and moving on, it's not yesterday it's today and I want an assurance that they won't make the same mistake again! Has everyone forgot we had the same discussion when Jon Norris stood in Pontillas? Ok on that occassion IOC came out on top but they gambled with the electorate it was a mistake then it's was a mistake yesterday and it will be a mistake going forward, trust me! We have a by-election in Saxon Gate and already the troups are lining up to do battle in Saxon Gate! No amount of canvassing will win that vote for IOC someone needs to persaude the Independent candidate to stand down! Early indications are that the independent held 96 votes, if half of the votes transferred to IOC they could actually win Saxon Gate! Does anyone know the independent candidate? Hopefully she's standing for the good of Hereford and will step down!

I'm thinking this and I've switched off that filter in my head that stops me saying something that I know is going to provoke a strong reaction but I feel I have to say it and be dammed!

 

IOC/ Indies you knew it was a risk to stand against an independent/ IOC candidate but you did it anyway! No amount of backtracking will alter that fact. Sorry to one an all but if I had been an IOC candidate or an Independent standing in my Ward I would have stood down rather than run the risk of splitting the vote! When I hear stories commending each other on what a good Councillor the Independent/ IOC candidate would have made from the IOC / Independent to each other I'm afraid it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and I have the urge to scream! Mikefitz, Cambo and Dazza one of you should have stood down in your Wards particularly as none of you is saying they would have done any better than their IOC/ independent opponent.

 

I'm sorry but I have to be brutal and say that IOC still haven't got their Act together and until they do they have no chance of achieving their goal! If IOC are true to their ethos I'm concerned why the greater good didn't win through over party politics. Analysis clearly shows that the vote was split and if it hadn't been we would be looking at a whole different scenario! I await the inevitable lambasting!

Next Friday and Saturday at Whitecross School there is a meeting about the development of the Three Elms site on the west of Hereford City. The Church Commisoners who own the land have to tick a box that they have covered "community involvement" prior to making a planning application later.

 

On the following Tuesday evening (19th) they will present their "findings" about "what local people want", according to what people have said at the "consultation" events.

 

So if any of you can get there to ask questions, do it!

Cloudberry the decision has already been made, the Consultation will not see the light of day! I'm afraid this will go ahead regardless of public opinion. Can someone point me to a Consultatiin that actually changed the course of action originally proposed?

I'm sure David will take you up on the offer, he has had lots of offers from fellow IOC members as well, I hope Chris this is a sign that perhaps we can get our act together and work together instead of against ourselves as we did today.

Absolutely agree, what's the problem here? To my mind if Glenda Vaughan Powell and Chris Chappell had joined IOC as the preferred candidate for their ward they would not have risked splitting the vote! IOC would have been stupid to have proposed an alternative Candidate to either of them!

Talking of new Leaders wonder if Tony (I can lie with conviction) Johnson will be re-elected as Leader?

The IOC Councillors who won their seats now have a a greater responsibility to police every step the Tories take and report on every dishonest move they make and trust me they will make many, they are more slippery than a slap across the face with a wet fish!

I know it makes no difference to the result of the Credenhill ward but the Hereford Times had reported that I came 3rd to Julia Blackshaw, that is wrong, she did not get 449 votes she got 429 votes and I beat her. Is the Hereford Times a Tory paper by any chance?

Bless you dippy Well Bob Matthews has held that seat for 30 years and has a large old guard vote, I polled the biggest vote against him in all that time and beat the Tory so its mot so bad and something to build on. We'll take Credenhill either in a by-election or in 4 years....watch this space Thank you for your support

Cllr Andrews got in Widemarsh/Independent. Gutted for Amanda and James. I know Stephen Williams is a Tory but the previous Cllr was a watered down Tory,so no change there.

I have tried to keep a spreadsheet and it looks like we have:_ 29 Cons,11 IOC,9 Independent,2Green. How does this compare to pre_election 2015. What are our chances with the SLR now.

Please people don't despair we are the electorate and we can fight every single shoddy underhand decision the cons will make. Their masters in government will be cutting the purse strings even more and there is no-one else to point the finger at.The IOC needs to to get organised, work better with the Independent brethren and make sure that every poor decision, financial irregularity or mismanagement is made public either through the Hereford Times, Hereford Voice or Hereford High Street.

LETS BE HONEST WITH ALL THE ISSUES COMING ..WOULD YOU WANT TO BE IN A CONSERVATIVE CHAIR.....

I hope they live in gated communities because if you thought its been bad just wait .....expecting a year on year significant council tax increases just for starters..

Well done to all who won in their wards. I have been in the leisure centre for several hours and noticed Cllr. Edwards had a smug look upon his face and said tell everyone on HV I won when he was on the mic, which I thought was rather immature, he is not that clever, he actually stood against one of his own Independents, so the party have gained nothing but lost another very good councillor well done Mr Edwards clever politics NOT. I'm sure he was just trying to make some type of point.
