  1. They do not seem to be keen at all and I can see why to be fair. Car Park should be around the other side (Haywood Lane). I am surprised that they have even come up with this current location proposal!

Its not what the public wants its what this person wanted. Logick and wishes of residents and fishermen does not apply. its all what he wants.

Its a ploy to keep antisocal behaviour in Newton Farm.

  2. I have heard that there is a plan for a lay-by along Haywood Lane to accommodate anglers, but I haven't seen any planning applications. Also is there a plan of the overall scheme as there is talk of a visitor centre, but no idea where it is proposed to put it.

I understand a certain male Cllr is against it as he wants it of Waterfield Road. The answere is not to vote for this person.

  3. When I contacted the officer (james Blissett) last year in response to Mr Schoffer email as Colin has said it was found that the sewage was coming from an over full septic tank, when it was emptied the tank was also found to have a leak so it was replaced. I also called in the Environment Agency who contacted Persimmon who owned the field a soakway was installed. I ask that the area of the lakes be watched for any further evidence, and this has been carried out periodicly every few months. As I advised in a recent post here I called the Environment Agency out again because there was a flow of foul smelling liguid coming out of the pipe and the answer I received was 'it was at an acceptable level' but they would continue to monitor the lakes. I am also surprised that Mr key doesn't know the source from where the sewage is coming from as it enters the pipe.

Just to put things in perspective the sewage is coming from the old property on the other side of the road in Haywood Lane, and not from the two old cottages. This was the information I got from the contractor. I did pass this information on to the fishermen who were going to tell Mr Hemblade.

  4. I am totally confused as to why Jim Key does not seem to know the source? We all know it is serwage! Councillor Powell is also aware and so is Rob Hemblade. This was partially addressed in this topic July 2010 over a year ago in an email from Mark Schoffer to Rob Hemblade

    Here is the culprit

I remember that, does it takes over a year to check 6 houses, only if its Hereford Council. Please keep fighting it Colin as it stinks in the warm weather. :Thumbs-Up:

  5. I have had members of the previous committee speaking to me over the last few days, one of which is my next door neighbour and like everyone else, including myself we are very annoyed with what has been done at the lakes. I have advised them to contact Rob Hemblade at the council, and I will be doing the same on Monday morning, also the South Wye Regeneration Board, who together with the City council and Belmont parish gave the money to buy the lakes.

What happened its 5 days have they replied.

  6.

P.Rowe, I did not say the resident phoned me, actually they stopped me in the street where they live in Hunderton, (after I stopped speaking to one of their neighbours who was complaining about the traffic going up a one way street the wrong way) I came home to phone the officer to ask him to send the bin men back to collect the recycling as they were still in the area, when he told me 'they had looked in the bin' and found an uncleaned takeaway container in there I walked back to the residents home to tell them what I had been told, at which time the resident showed me the unclean container in the bin. pray tell me if the bin men had not open the bin and looked inside they would not of seen it, the resident also confirmed this, when they were ask by the resident why they had put a red label on the bin and not emptied it, So please don't tell me I am talking codswallop when I was shown the container in the bin.

I just dont believe that, I think you are a good story teller, suffering from harmless illusions

whoa have I touched a raw nerve Alex?

    To answer all your questions

    1. You have quoted a segment of an answer to Victor (page 1) where I mentioned about hiding behind an avatar, so it makes me wonder from your response if you are here writing under two avatar? you also said you have not got round to uplifting a photo, considering you join in June 2010, and it is now Oct 2011, just over 15 months later one has to conclude you have never intended to uplift a photo? I live on planet earth, which planet are you on?
    2. What I said /printed below that section was not confidential but all other information in the paperwork was. I have not, and have no intention in the future of devolving confidential information to anyone!
    3. the reason why no other councillor wishes to come on line here is because they see how you treat me, and do not wish to have the same treatment. We all are members of the Belmont parish council and we all get on very well together.

Again Glenda you live in Cuckoo cloud.
  8.

Yes they do open my bin, but it is more of a curiocity why they do it, they tell me they are intersted to see what I, as a councillor, put in my recycling. So yes they see the contents of my recycling bin and never questioned, or advised me I was putting the wrong things into it. I have had the same binmen for years. As I said before I did not have any stickers with my small bin only the white one for my house number and address.

    I wonder why? .......
  9.

Councillor Powell, what planet are you on?? YOU said I hide behind my avatar, look at the above quotes of yours!

You were very quick to offer this so called confidential information (below)and no you are retracting it by claiming that it is confidential, how convenient!

It's no wonder none of the other councillors want to come online here, getting into any dialogue with you is a nightmare!! You are quite often wrong and make statements that are incorrect, but always blame something else for your incompetence, such as "I was not informed" etc...

Alex I totally agree with you, Glenda must go, but who will have her :Happy_32:  of her.
  10. Alex - you are entitled to your opinion, personally what you think of me doesn't matter to me, or has any effect on me what so ever!

The paperwork I have was issued to all councillors after we attended a meeting to discuss the introduction of the wheeley bin recycling service, where we all agreed what could / could not be recycled, also the fact that some residents would not be issued with a wheeley bin, but would carry on using the purple bags.

All meetings (with the exception of full council) and the paperwork of such meetings is confidential, therefore not for distribution on any website, hence why I did not post it. Can I suggest at the next election you stand, and IF ELECTED to represent the people you will then know what can / cannot be disclosed. It is obvious you do not realise the confidential side of being an elected member, also the rules we as councillors have to abide by. No matter, Is it any wonder why no other councillor other the recently elected one wants to come on Here to be criticised or verbally abused!

I think it was a grate mistake that people voted for you, we will not do that mistake again. :Thumbs-Down:

  11.

without prejudice - In my position as councillor it is my duty to check / double check everything! as you saw in my last post Amey apologised for giving me the wrong information which I past on, if when checking the people concerned give out the wrong information you cannot lay that at my door! I am busy putting the finishing touches to my own website for the residents in my ward, for people that appreciate my working on their behalf. may I remind you all that I was the only councillor answering your questions until recently but obviously that has not been appreciated, let us see if any other councillor will help you now.

But you have done so again, you are wrong! Wrong! Wrong. Any other wrong information.
  12. Sorry to disagree with you Councillor but please read the orange section NO FOIL.

    Q. Why can I no longer put foil in my recycling?

    A. There are a number of reasons why you can no longer put foil in your recycling. Firstly, it acts like paper in the sorting process making it difficult to separate. It also accounts for a negligible amount of the commingled recycling (approx 0.001%) and would take up valuable storage space at EnviroSort which can be more beneficially used for other materials.

    Envirosort

    If you want to recycle foil you will need to take it to;

    Hereford City HWS/ TLS

    Chapel Lane, Rotherwas, HR2 6LD

    Waste types:

Mixed Metal Food & Drink Cans

    Car Oil

    Shoes

    Car Batteries

    Steel Food & Drink Cans

    Garden Waste

    All Plastic Bottles

    Scrap Wood

Also old paint and radio and torch batteries, but Glenda knows best, write or wrong.

  13. Roger. The police send out monthly newsletters to Belmont ward councillors, for Belmont they should be on the notice boards, for Newton Farm it goes into my NHW notice board. The police also attends the BRPC meetings every 6 weeks to give a report. Recently they have 'gone to the people' with out door PACT meetings one at Tesco Belmont and Northolme Centre car park ( only one resident turn up at Northolme). The new South Wye Inspector is coming to my home on Monday to introduce himself to me, I will mention a weekly report and see what he says.

    Cllr Glenda Powell

Any news of what is happening arround the wards? Where are our Police?

  14. This is what happens when requests are ignored...

Do you all remember when I asked for the Tree's at the bottom of Glastonbury Close to be cut down and bushes cleared? Well after many discussion between myself Cllr Powell and Amey eventually, a few men were sent up to clear the open space area. (Nov 2009) At the time the supervisor from Amey suggested that they only need cut back the tree's, both Cllr Powell, myself and other residents said it would be better and safer (preventing kids climbing on the spiked metal fence surround McDonald's) if the tree's were cut down totally, but no he insisted that they would leave stumps... I told them then that they would need to come back within a year or so, no no no he said it will be at least 4 or 5 years before they need pruning again.

Well this is what they looked like when Amey had completed their work

    msg-2-13302954717454_thumb.png

And this is what it looks like today

Colin what you are showing is best quality Amey workmanship, hack it down at waist levellike all their work poor.

I guess it's time for another call to Amey eh..

  15. Litter

Littering in a public place is not only unsightly but it is also an offence. If you are caught dropping or leaving litter, you may be issued with a £80.00 Fixed Penalty Notice or prosecuted. This can easily be avoided by using the litter bins provided or taking your rubbish home. It is worth noting that chewing gum and cigarette butts dropped onto the ground are also considered as litter. However, whilst in isolation the size is small and may appear insignificant, the cumulative effect is massive and as such Herefordshire Council takes a robust approach towards such littering. Herefordshire Council works closely with Amey in order to keep Herefordshire clean and tidy.

Although not a regular occurrence, if you find a discarded syringe or needle in the community please do not touch it. Simply contact us immediately and let us know the location of the item so we can arrange for it to be quickly collected and removed.

However, if you find a syringe, needle or drug paraphernalia within the grounds of an educational institution, please report it immediately to staff on the premises who are trained to deal with such matters.

If you identify an area where litter has accumulated and is causing concern you can report it to Herefordshire Council by calling 01432 261761 or E-Mailing info@herefordshire.gov.uk. Alternatively you can contact Amey Streetscene directly on 01432 261800 or streets@herefordshire.gov.uk.

You can also report sightings of large pot holes, due the the severe cold weather recently to StreetScene.

I blaim the perents for not bringing up there children to put litter and or chewing gum in the litter bin. Also school should take an active part in training kids to put litter into a litter bin.

Ipussycat - The officers set aside the time for the Town Green hearing what we the members were not told was that we were expected to stay until 9pm, The Chairman advised everyone in the gallery why the meeting was deferred, see my other post, the committee felt it was not fair to rush such an important hearing in the interest of both parties. Everybody time was wasted, the committee had been there since 10am at another Regulatory meeting.

I do consider that to expect any one to work from 2 pm to 9 pm is unreasonable unless refreshment break and refreshments are provided. Considering the Regulatory Committee was there since 10 am. What about the solicitors were they consulted?

All I can say it is a poor show by the council's legal department, I just wonder if they know what they are doing.

  17. Roger,

I am fully aware that legal action was threatened but in all honesty there would of been no libel case to answer, even Roderick Robinson has acknowledged that in his closing statement, either that or he was unsure himself? It would of been quite simple if he was unsure to of just removed the said emails!

I am still of the opinion that this was a fairly lame excuse as to why the site was closed down. I think the site was on it's last legs anyway and the administrator had either lost interest or did not have the time required to continue with the demand that the site was putting on him but now of course he has a certain amount of sympathy I guess...

I have been an administrator of many forums and websites for many years and people make threats and asks for threads to removed all the time, this is not unusual and this would not of caused me to close down the site.

All posts are property and copyright of the original author/poster and it's how they express their views and opinions that could be in question here and not the person on the receiving end. So, if anyone is to be blamed here it's the young girl who made the allegations in the first instance. Roderick Robinson apparently, is an experienced magazine editor and was fully aware of what he published on his website. He alone edits and vets all emails prior to publishing them himself! Unlike here, where its down to the member to action the submit button.

Colin to some extent I agree with you the site information was out of date, but what was nice there was no one person that seemed to be the master contributor. What was nice one picked up small snippets of useful local information that was talked about till the end, when there was a bit of slagging going on in my opinion not slanderous but a hate pattern developing?

It would be nice to have just a Belmont PC, and City PC (Newton Farm, and Hunderton which would come under city parish council) or separate PC websites, where all parish clerks contribute to the website.

It is difficult for me to explain as I know it very technical to create a perfect website to suit all persons.

You have done well, and once you clean up your site and dont gives preference to certain councillor’s, I would think there would be a good take up by councillors, if it were linked to the parish councils.

  18. I asked why the BR website was closed down and the editer sent this reply :- As I explained, I was threatened with defamation proceedings. From professional experience I know that these are both expensive and time-consuming even if you win. This is why it closed down and it is a pity it did close it was a good website and alot of the other councillors went on it .

This website is good and hopefully one day the other councillors will join it. :Smile_32:

Good on you lpusseycat for printing the truth, I just wonder if Glenda has a truthful answere to you?

  19. Sorry but I think this was a feeble excuse on behalf of BR. I like this site simply because it is so instant and replies are instant, no waiting for days on end for an edited reply. I personally sent a few emails to the other site and some took almost a week to be published and even then it was not published as it was written, which in my opinion defeats the object. :Angry_32:

This site just looks and feels so much more professional with live and sometimes controversial debates which is what it's all about.

I am sure the other councillors with join in time as this is the perfect vehicle in which to communicate with locals instantly. :Thumbs-Up:

    Rebecca

I ask will they? while Glenda is the main contributer.
