CHANGE OF USE FROM ASSEMBLY AND LEISURE D2 (SPORTS PAVILION/CHANGING ROOMS) TO NON RESIDENTIAL INSTITUTIONS D1

Current use - Changing and viewing area for outdoor sports used at weekends during the winter and also during the week in the summer months. The building is situated on common land and serves games pitches adjacent. The building has stood since the inter war years and has been extended to the rear in the past with timber frame extensions.

The playing fields are let to the Lads Club. The Lads Club have their own modern changing facilities on adjacent land. The Widemarsh Pavilion building therefore; has not been used as a changing room for circa 2-3 years.

The Council wish to relocate Echo Herefordshire to the Widemarsh Pavilion. Echo Herefordshire provide leisure and social services for people living in Herefordshire with disabilities.

Echo in association with The Green Eyed Monster Company run a service currently operating out of the ground floor at Governors House in Hereford that run workshops for recycling vintage and modern clothing. This provides work placements for adults with mixed abilities Incidental to this Echo operate a vintage and modern fabric shop.

This is a good idea and will stop all the negative things happening in there.
