Anyone got the potted version of the timeline of the recent history of this disputed property?

Taylor inherited it from his father who purchased it with the money he made from pimping and other anti-social activities.  Don't know the ins and outs of its recent history but Taylor's talk of commercial liens and so on is just so much bollocks.  He is a green crayon merchant and  I think we're entitled to treat his version of events with a certain degree of scepticsm.

  2. "The broken windows theory is a criminological theory of the norm-setting and signalling effect of urban disorder and vandalism on additional crime and anti-social behavior. The theory states that maintaining and monitoring urban environments in a well-ordered condition may stop further vandalism and escalation into more serious crime."

Aren't the perpetrators supposed to be nicked as well? Or am I getting confused with zero tolerance?

  3. The consequence to this disfunctional model of management is that the front line staff disappear and the suits are left standing promoting their odd way of thinking to a tiny few who have only managed to cling onto their jobs because the suits need a couple of staff to justify their existence.

This is now the way of things. A top heavy, overpaid collective of incompetent bungling idiots who reached their personal level of incompetence the day the private sector called them into the office and said, 'your'e bloody useless and we can no longer afford to carry you. Pi.ss off and don't come back'.

Yes, it looks as if Mr Norman has been richly rewarded for his recent wholesale demolition of the committee and legal departments.

  4. I was told that the Head of the Council Legal Department Mr Bill Norman, formerly of The Wirral Council. Is going to study the findings of an internal investigation, and he will decide on the outcome. Which, given what Paul Cardin has disclosed to the social network world, probably means that nothing will ever be done to right any wrong.

Yes, I'm afraid anyone hoping that Bill the Bung will to do the right thing is destined to be disappointed.

  5. Hi Pete!

    Welcome to Hereford Voice!

Which, do you feel, is the best way forward for the Butter Market?

Thanks Hippy, good to be here.

As to the best way forward, I expect there's people more qualified than myself to pronounce on that, but it seems to me that the Council has already had one crack at it and achieved very little. I'd be interested to know more about Mr Dixon's plan for the market as I'd not heard of it prior to reading Grid Knocker's post.

    From Council News today:

Are the Council just trying to off load it or will there be a requirement to restore it as previously planned? Could work well if a co-operative took it over.

Isn't this really back to square one, where they were four or five years ago?  I don't see how including poor relation Hereford City Council is going to help.
