Young Drivers Racing - Spur Retail Park Hereford
Young car drivers gather most nights on the Spur Retail Park Holmer Road Hereford. (Halfords | Dunelm | Hobbycraft | Maplin) most of the time they are racing around the car park in their cars.

Gates were installed only a few months ago and it is down to the last manager to leave the park to lock the gates. This happened during the first few weeks only and now the gates never appear to be locked at night.

These drivers sit there for hours and just throw all of their rubbish out onto the floor, this is disgusting! There are bins provided so there is really no excuse.

It would be good to catch the culprits and have them prosecuted, I have already taken a few photographs and logged number plates.

Clearing The Newton Brook
Some good work being carried out all this week along the Newton Brook in Belmont. The brook has not really been cleaned out in years so it was good to see a JCB making light work of it.

This work was paid for by Herefordshire Council and there is now a program for maintenance along this stretch.

This work was undertaken following constant pressure to do something from Cllr Tracy Bowes who has been chasing them for months as this is a flood risk. They tried to clear some of the brook near Jubilee field on the last community action day but the silt was above their wellies.

They are monitoring the other parts of the brook and this has been included in the tender for work for next year.

December, January and February have been highlighted as good times for tree and shrub maintenance and coppicing but there is a plan now which should see additional work carried out throughout the year.

New Safety (speed) Camera on A465 Belmont Road Hereford
New Safety (speed) camera currently being installed on the A465 opposite the Three Counties Hotel Belmont Road) Hereford.

This is been in discussion for sometime so no real surprises here however, the traffic queues along this part of Hereford are constant so we do not envisage high earnings to come from this one...

£10,000 Reward To Find Christian's Killer
BBC Crimewatch tonight at 9pm.

The senior investigating officer (SIO) of the investigation, DCI Leighton Harding, said:

We are offering this reward to encourage people to come forward with information to help us identify those responsible for Christians death.

We firmly believe that someone has information which could lead us to those responsible for Christian's death but has not yet come forward. My appeal to them is to think about the impact Christians murder has had on his family, in particular his young daughter who faces a life without her father, and to do the right thing by contacting us.

If you have any information it is imperative you come forward to police and allow Christians family the justice they deserve.

Duck Pond Clean Up Phase 2 Action Day
Okay folks I have just had a discussion with Keith and we have agreed Sunday 19th November 0900-1400 for 'Phase 2'.
We obviously need as much help again and we will see if we can encourage the scout/cubs etc to keep us refreshed with beverages again. The plan of actions is to clear some of the outstanding dead branches and bushes and to paint the fence! We will also continue to try and break the back of the duckweed and also erect two additional signs. I have got the funding for some Hammerite and I will make sure that we have a dozen of so paint brushes to make light work of the 75 metre length.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
