  4. There is a large Police presence tonight on Holme Lacy Road in Hereford. The road is currently closed at the roundabout near to the Co-op due to an ongoing incident. There is a large Police presence at the scene and a silver Hyundai is parked with its hazard lights flashing within the police cordon. There is an object on the road in front of the Hyundai which the Police have covered with plastic sheeting to preserve as possible evidence.

  6. A woman suffered minor injures after an assault in Pamona Place Hereford on Saturday night. Police and Fire crews were called to the scene. West Mercia Police said;

Keith Brown, aged 55, from Blakes Lane, Guarlford in Malvern, was sentenced today (Wednesday 16 December) at Worcester Crown Court, to 10 years and 8 months in prison extended for 3 years to serve on licence for raping an 83 year old woman in her home. Brown pleaded guilty on Monday 14 September to the rape which happened in the early hours of Thursday 13 August. He was also given a restraining order not to contact the victim for life.   11. Police searching for a man missing from Herefordshire have found a body. As part of enquiries to locate 33-year-old Rok Simsic searches of the River Wye have been carried out and yesterday a body was recovered from the water. The family of Rok has been informed however formal identification has yet to be carried out. Rok was last seen in Herefordshire on Thursday 5 November.
  12. A full and thorough investigation has been launched and a Hereford man arrested on suspicion of rape after an incident in the city yesterday afternoon (Thursday 19 November). Shortly after 2pm West Mercia Police received a report that a woman in her 20s had been approached by a man in the St James’ Road area and that she had been attacked and sexually assaulted. Officers were quickly in the area, searches were carried out and as part of our enquiries a 32-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of rape. He currently remains in police custody.   14. A woman has been charged with murder following an incident in Cradley Hereford. Laura Van Marle, aged 40, of no fixed address, was today (Sunday 27 September) charged with the murder of 69-year-old Susanna Van Marle. She was also charged with causing grievous bodily harm to a 73-year-old man. Both charges relate to an incident which occurred yesterday (Saturday 26 September) at approximately 2am at an address on Finchers Corner in Cradley. Detective Chief Inspector Leighton Harding said:

Earlier today officers were been granted a 36-hour magistrates' extension to continue questioning two people who were arrested on suspicion of murder. Overnight a 12-hour custody extension had been granted for both the woman aged in her 20s and from Birmingham and the man aged in his 30s and from Wolverhampton.
