  1. Dramatic drone images from Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service at the 10 pump factory fire at Overross Industrial Estate in Ross-on-Wye this morning. Good progress made through the early hours and now 4 appliances remain on scene damping down, with fire investigation officers working to establish the cause.   3. Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews supported their colleagues from Northfield Fire Station at a very large fire at Kevs Cars and Coaches Ltd in Birmingham Road, Lydiate Ash in Bromsgrove North Worcestershire during the early hours. 📸 WMFS Northfield
  4. During the early hours of this morning, Monday 7th March 2022 at approximately 01:30am Police were called to a fire on Brampton Road, Hereford. A garage, located behind properties along Brampton Road was on fire. The fire was successfully put out by the Fire Service. Police and the fire service conducted inquiries in the nearby area and information suggests that youths were seen in the area before the fire began. The owners of the garage were later located and informed, which was very upsetting and distressing for the couple. All their belongings within the garage have been destroyed in the fire leaving nothing for them to recover. At this time the incident is being treated as suspicious and we urge any members of the public with information to come forward. You can provide information by contacting 101 quoting reference 00019_I_07032022. You can also report to the police anonymously by contacting Crime Stoppers.

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews attended a fire at a derelict building on Eign Street in Hereford this afternoon. 4 sets of breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet and 1 covering jet were used to extinguish the fire on the ground floor. There was a fire at this derelict building back in November.
  6. Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service have deployed 20 fire engines which are on scene at a massive fire currently at Hoo Farm Industrial Estate in Kidderminster. Firefighters togther with other crews and partners will be on-site for next few days. Residents as far as Worcester and parts of Herefordshire are being advised to keep their windows and doors shut due to the large amounts of smoke being produced by the blaze. 📸 HWFRS
  7. Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews are currently at the scene in Eign Street. The street is currently closed from Steels Garage to Sainsbury's due to the on going fire at the building adjacent to the Old Eye Hospital location. Firefighters bravely entered the burning building initially to get the fire under control. The are 8 fire appliances currently on the scene as firefighters continue to deal with the blaze.

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Kingsland Fire Station were called to a house fire at Stoke Prior in Herefordshire just after 5pm yesterday evening they were needed to back up their colleagues from Leominster Fire Station who were already at the scene and tackling the blaze. Further assistance came from Bromyard Fire Station fire fighters.
  9. Multiple Fire Crews from both Herefordshire and Gloucestershire joined forces to tackle a barn and combine harvester fire last night in Herefordshire. Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue Service (Official) sent their water carrier from Cheltenham to assist at the scene of the site which is away from a sufficient water course.   10. Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from both Kingsland, Presteigne and Kington Fire Stations attended the blaze at Whitney-on-Wye on Sunday evening. Crews were faced with an intense fire which engulfed three outbuildings very close to houses. The fire also involved gas cylinders, petrol cans and machinery. The heat was melting the house guttering and broke windows. Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using two hosereels stopped the blaze reaching the houses and causing further damage while also extinguishing the fire, which was spread across the rear of three properties. 📸 HWFRS
  11. Gloucestershire Fire Service crews along with Gloucestershire Police have been called to a fire at Longhope Business Park on Monmouth Road. The incident is under control but local residents have been advised to keep windows closed as there's smoke in the air. The A4136 is currently closed from Huntley to Mitcheldean diversions are in place until emergency services have completed their work tome the site safe.
  12. Crews from Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service quickly extinguished a small fire at a The Golden Galleon chip shop in Commercial Road this evening. No reports of any injuries.
  13. Multiple crews from 10 fire stations with appliances from Evesham, Gloucester, Warwickshire, Upton, Pershore, Malvern, Redditch, Ledbury, Leominster, Hereford and Ross are tackled a large fire at an industrial unit at Broadway yesterday. Photograph courtesy of Leominster Fire Station
  14. Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews were called to a blaze that was well alight at the Industrial Estate on Holme Lacy Road Hereford during the early hours. Firefighters from Hereford and Peterchurch fire stations were in attendance and used three pumps and a water carrier to extinguish the fire.
  15. Multiple fire crews from several counties dealing with large fire in the open near to Hergest Ridge, Kington on the border between Herefordshire and Powys. HWFRS We understand that the blaze is at Hanter Hill with crews from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service including appliances from Eardisley, Hereford, Ledbury, Peterchurch, Kington and Mid Wales Fire and Rescue Service.
  16. A Bartonsham Dairy refrigeration lorry caught fire at the top of Aylestone Hill in Hereford this lunch time. Emergency services are at the scene and the road (A465) has been closed in both directions while firefighters and police deal with the incident. Photo courtesy of Karen Pardoe
  17. Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Ewyas Harold Fire Station were called to a car fire in Garway yesterday, upon arrival the crew found the vehicle was well alight. Using BA and hose reel they crew extinguished the fire. Unfortunately the car was totally destroyed, even the alloys had partly melted. Thankfully no persons were injured. 📷 HWFRS
  18. All 3 appliances from Leominster Fire Station were required at a large building fire, near Ludlow late last night. Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Hereford, Ledbury, Tenbury and Leintwardine, were all in attendance. Firefighters from Bromyard, Leominster and Malvern were in attendance and tackled the house fire using hose reels, main jets and Breathing Apparatus to extinguish this fire. #herefordvoice #herefordshirenews #herefordnews
  21. Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Worcester, Tenbury, Evesham and Malvern using specialist equipment attended a very large fire yesterday evening in the open involving undergrowth and scrub at Bringsty Common, Herefordshire.
  22. Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service were called to a serious agricultural building fire in Kings Pyon, near Hereford at around 13:03 on Monday, 18 January 2021. The fire was in a large agricultural building – two barns approximately 120m by 120m containing 500 tonnes of straw. Livestock in the barns were all evacuated. photographs courtesy of HWFRS In total 12 appliances were involved in fighting the fire with crews coming in from Kingsland, Hereford, Eardisley, Leominster, Kington, Wyre Forest, Tenbury Wells, Fownhope, Ledbury and Malvern. The fire was fought using four hosereel jets and two main jets supplemented by a water carrier and a dam. There were no casualties. Crews from Worcester and Tenbury Wells were still in attendance on site on Tuesday morning maintaining a watching brief, before this was scaled back to one crew from Eardisley. “At 13:00 on 18/1/2021, HWFRS attended a fire involving approximately 500 tonnes of straw within two large barns large barns at Kings Pyon,” said Station Commander Deb Davies, North Herefordshire Cluster. “Throughout the afternoon and overnight, crews from multiple stations worked alongside the owners to contain the fire and prevent fire spread to numerous adjacent barns. All farm stock was safely moved to adjoining fields by onsite staff before our arrival. Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service continue to have a crew on site and are working with the owner to bring the incident to a close.
  23. Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews have be called to a fire which has engulfed a barn at Kings Pyon in Herefordshire. The heat from the core of the fire is an incredible 650c as you can see from the heat gun.
  24. Crews from Leominster Fire Station along with Kingsland fire station attended a large wood chipping machine on fire this afternoon. When crews arrived, they were faced with a well developed fire in the motor area of the wood chipper. Both crews worked quickly to extinguish the fire using 2 fire fighters in breathing aparatus, and also a covering jet to protect the adjacent building which was holding a large quantity of dried wood chip. #herefordvoice #herefordnews #herefordshire
  25. Crews from Hereford Fire Station were called to the A49 at the Callow, Hereford early this morning. They extinguished a van fire fire, crews used breathing apparatus and hose reel jets. West Mercia Police were also requested to attend as there was no owner present.
