  1. APPEAL FOR INFORMATION West Mercia Police are appealing for the public's assistance after an incident in Burghill, Herefordshire. Around 11.40pm last night (Friday 11th June) someone has attempted to post a marine flare through a letterbox at an address on Oak Lane, St Mary's Park, Burghill. Fortunately for the occupants who were asleep at the time, the offender(s) were unable to get the flare through the letter box and it went off on the door step.   3. The powerful sculpture created from over 100,000 knives is due to arrive in Hereford on Monday as a stark warning of the impact of knife crime. The Knife Angel will be on display outside Hereford Cathedral for a month long visit and will highlight and raise awareness around knife crime and the devastating effects that it can have for those victims and their families.   13. West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses following criminal damage in Hereford. At around 4.45am on Thursday 20 May five young people are believed to have attempted to break into in a building on the Holme Lacy Road industrial estate. The offenders were all described as being aged between 15 and 17-years-old.
