  1. The body of a man has been found in the park beside Castle Pool pond, Hereford, this morning. Police have sealed off the area with a crime scene team at work on Cantilupe Street. The death is currently being investigated as "unexplained". A passer-by found the body just before 7am this morning.   4. West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault which occurred at on Commercial Road in Hereford in the early hours of Sunday 20 September. At approximately 3.30am the victim, a man in his twenties, was outside the Kings Fee and BBQ and Brews pubs, when he was assaulted by four or five men. He was thrown to the floor and kicked in the face. As a result he lost four teeth. One of the offenders was described as a white man of medium build, approximately 5"9, wearing a medium jumper. Police appeal following assault in Hereford12:56pm Tuesday 8th July 2014 in News POLICE investigating a serious assault in Hereford want to speak to a group of teenagers who may be able to help them with their enquiries. A 27-year-old man needed surgery after his jaw was broken in two places after being punched near the Lichfield Vaults pub in Church Street.   11. I noticed the Police had cordoned off all of the entrances to the subway between Victoria Street and Eign Gate Hereford and also the pavement outside of the Cashino in Eign Gate. So I went along and chatted to one of the Police officers and took these photographs, he clearly could not comment but it was obvious that a serious incident had happened in Eign Gate and forensics (SOCO) where examining for evidence in the underpass.   13. I work on the first floor of an office in Bridge Street. Heard a large crash at 4pm today and looked out of my office window. A guy had run over the brand new road sign at the top of Bridge Street. How could he possibly do that? Well, he pulled up right outside Bill Jackson estate agents, got out of his car and it was quite apparent he was drunk as he was struggling to stand. He staggered across the car to the sign and picked up the items which had fallen off his car from the crash.   14. Hereford Man Jailed For Life For Stabbing Friend To Death Stacy Hales A man from Hereford has been sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering his friend in the city in August last year. At Worcester Crown Court today, Stacy Hales, aged 36 (DoB 03/10/1977), of Belmont Road, Hereford, was found guilty of murdering Steven Paynter, aged 46. He was sentenced to serve a minimum of 22 years in prison. Following a two-week trial, a jury unanimously found Hales was responsible for stabbing Mr Paynter, known to friends as Taffy, during a fight at his home in Rylands Street. Also sentenced today

The road is very busy at this junction and with McDonalds on the opposite side of the road to the estate lots of youngsters cross this road daily and risk their lives even though there is a light controlled crossing at the Oval further up Belmont Road.   16. Police at Hereford investigating a robbery of cash from a woman on Wednesday 15 January have issued an image of a man they want to talk to. The woman was robbed in an alleyway by the Wye Inn pub in Holme Lacey Road. Hereford at approximately 12.45pm. A man approached the 20 year old woman and asked for a cigarette. As the victim got a cigarette for him he grabbed a freezer bag from her pocket which contained cash. When the woman tried to grab the cash back the man struck her.   17. E-fit Released In Attempted Robbery Investigation - Hereford Do you recognise this woman? Police investigating an attempted robbery in Hereford have released an e-fit in a bid to identify a woman who tried to rob a mother as she pushed her child along in a pram. Previous witness appeals have been issued about the incident, which happened on a footpath that runs between Abbotsmead Road and Northolme Road, at around 3.30pm on Wednesday, 20 November. The victim was walking on the path and pushing the pram while talking on her mobile phone when she was approached from behind by the woman.

My husband was hit side on as he was going around the roundabout by a car trying to get onto the roundabout from Edgar street.
