  1. The first phase of the demolition of the prefab bungalows along Beattie Ave began this morning. These prefabs weren't designed to last, the past 30 years have been a compromise between the costs of sustaining the properties vs the costs to redevelop them. The demolition of this first phase is due to be completed within 3 weeks. Hereford Voice previously reported on plans submitted by Hereford Housing back in March of 2018 for the proposed demolition of 41 existing (prefab bungalows) in Beattie Avenue Hereford and the subsequent construction of 71 bungalows and houses with

  3. These flats have not been up 2 years yet and already they have had to repair the roof, now I see mould appearing in different areas on the external walls, see photographs I took this morning. These flats are starting to look a little shabby already, I wonder how they will look in 5 years time...
  4. Today mini me noticed that the big swing was missing, after being vandalised months ago by teenagers. I did some digging and found out that it has probably been removed for safety purposes after Keepmoat complained to HH about it months ago!! Who has removed it has not become apparent yet, and it was news to Keepmoat themselves. Subsequent information divulged to me was that HH do not want to take ownership of this park! They (HH) rarely litter pick or empty the bins, and it is left to keepmoat to do so, along with Sir Jim. So my question is..... Why do HH not want to take ownership of t
  5. It has come to my attention that there has been a considerable amount of anger & frustration at the regeneration of 'The Oval' over on Mybook Facespace or whatever it is? In particular, construction traffic and muddy roads etc. As I have been briefed, the case is, that someone will get run over by the construction traffic, excessive amounts of mud on the roads and health and safety issues amongst others; One jolly fellow even posted the site managers phone number and email , the disbelief! Its not that hard to find!! As I live on said construction site, in their defence, they have two sw
  6. A builders van was vandalised to gain entry and cleaned out. This happened in broad daylight around 11am a few days ago. The van was parked in Radford gardens near the block of new flats. A HH van was also parked next to it but was untouched. I believe the contents was carpentry related. If you are offered cheap tools or hear something, please inform @southsidecops It appears the culprits left in a white transit van that was a little battered, and seen by a few tradesmen around the site.
  7. The Ship Inn site could look like this if the new proposed project is accepted.
  8. The work on the new skate park in the fields at the top of Newton Farm has begun. Contractors had already fenced off the old park and have starting dismantling it today. This skate park was built in the 90's and is well used and in much need of replacing. The project is being funded by Hereford Housing as it is their land.
  9. As part of the Oval Regeneration the developers Keepmoat have released the following information: New development - Radford Gardens named after one of Hereford United's hero's. 10. I have had many tenants approach me because some of the rendering on the walls of the Kilvert Road flats have become loose because of all the wet weather we have had, therefore it was removed. Tenants concerns is the flats will now become damp. I have had assurance from HHL that if that happened any damp etc would be put right regardless of the flats being part of the regeneration of the Oval.

    Housing the homeless

Dear all comers... I offer to help support families as a free, independent advocate and whilst performing these duties, I have had reason to help a family who were housed at 5 Broxash Drive. Whilst helping this family I discovered that this ex-Council flat, that was given to Herefordshire Housing for free is now being rented to homeless families for £832 p/m or £167 per week....plus a charge of £25 p/w for utilities. If this was not bad enough these tenants have on the spot inspections and can do nothing to make the flat feel homely as they are not allowed to carpet, decorate or hang pic
