  1. The council need to consider carefully the amount of land attached to each new build. There has, over the years, been substantial reduction in outdoor space, ie garden area, on all properties. As it is now well substantiated the provision of outdoor space significintantly improves both physical and mental wellbeing. Most new builds don't have enough space for installation of a rotary line, and leave anywhere to relax. As climate change dictates using less energy then reliance on tumble driers must be avoided and areas set aside for lawn or garden are becoming essential. Opportunity should be given for the house owner to be able to grow fresh vegetables contribute to reduction in food miles and an opportunity to eat whole food at substantially lower costs than in the food markets. Planning policy for the county should set an obligation for such space.
