  1. The lights at Lugg bridge are still there and have been around nothing all day. Traffic queuing back to the roundabout at the bottom of Aylestone Hill. Perhaps they're practicing and they'll put them in the right place tomorrow !!!
  2. I went past at 8.40 this morning, no one on site. Came back at 9.45 and it looks like their reinstating the little island in the middle of the road as the power people were there connecting the bollards back up, had to go back down an hour later, one bollard done, came back at 1.15 and it looks like they've nearly completed the second bollard. However a small hole has appeared in the footpath by the turning to the Oval. That was there early this morning. No Gas people around though. It does seem to be a theme though. I been out to Whitestone and back twice today (don't ask - knackered battery on car) and some lights have appeared just on the other side of the Lugg bridge and they're around 'nothing' as well, they weren't there early this morning.
  3. What makes me laugh about this is the fact that the sign they used last year saying "No right turn into Hungerton Road" is exactly the same sign that they used this year with exactly the same spelling mistake on it. You'd have thought that someone working on the works would have noticed it and got it put right. What hope have we !! Maybe they'll get it right for next year as I'm sure they're already planning how they can inflict some more misery on us. At least it gave a laugh every time I drove past it. I'm told that the traffic lights were gone on Friday. As I haven't been down there since Thursday I don't know. Saying that, judging by the traffic queue up to the roundabout this morning (Saturday) at 10.45 this morning maybe they haven't.
