I am give you all an update on this, the circumstances were that the police was giving a member of the public a ticket for parking on zig zag white lines, there vehicle can be seen in one pic at bottom end, The officer concerned as been reprimanded, by the sgts at Ledbury, as a formal complaint was made, and a FULL APOLOGISE made as wasnt acceptable, officer might even have been given a ticket themselves, was being considered as an option by the sgt. THIS IS FACT NOT HERESAY

worse than that the officer who parked here, was giving a ticket out to somebody who was parked on zig zag white lines in bottom of picture !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

is this the same Greenhaugh who gave FALSE DETAILS at scene of accident some where by Mordiford and got away with it ????. and you didn't expect any different from a corrupt banana council and councillors'. roger thank you for interest on this matter and I note your comments however whilst I take on board your comments ref broad street the BIG difference is the loading bay is BEFORE the zig zag lines, and therefore isn't contravening them, some person paid higher than you and I will ever be has determined the distance between the zig zags and pelican crossing but this speed enforcement van was parked as per TRO ON THE ZIG ZAG white lines. Therefore in my eyes offence committed no defence, but I will be interested to hear from any traffic lawyers on here.

Roger I spoke to the person in question in the van after taking pics and his comments 35 and over will be ticketed and I dont give a **** straight from his mouth

As colin has said this is supposed to be a vehicle promoting safety parks by a pelican crossing which is a hazard thus the zig zags opposite a junction right by a pavement has mounted a kerb to get on to grass verge other pictures taken not on here show grass verge damaged. With all these facts how can this be considered a safe postion. I am tempted to send pics to that solicitor who gets vip off in court seek his view and I would suggest it is illegal parking

Rockfied rodent I believe you are wrong traffic regulations state an order covers from the middle of the road to the nearest boundary not just the road. Pls research and come back then I can quote the law in full to you

I accept ref the speeding issues but does it mean they can break the law to get the speeders and if breaking the law are the tickets issued lawful. If you lost ure job on the issue of an unlawful ticket wouldnt u have the right to sue

I to have seen the same sort of things going on with the police when dealing with people, and always have my phone handy to film, and in fact have few times made complaints against police all of which have been founded in MY FAVOUR

did anyone see article in daily Mail other day regarding a member of the police who photographed to police vehicles parking in a restricted bay, whilst not attending an incident. The same place is wife had just got a parking ticket. The Police said he had to give delete the pic when he refused he was then told to hand over phone, when he refused he was then arrested under TERROSIM ACT, taken to police station gone through the same as your partner, when complaint was made was released with an apology and told the police officer didn't understand the TERROISM ACT and how it should be used etc etc. The Daily mail will love your story

might I suggest a call to West Mercia Professional standards,and Hereford Times,and Daily Mail and Mr Longmore,and the chief constable, this is an ever increasing problem with the local Police, they have lost their way big time, just rude and ignorant, Well done for not agreeing to a caution and plead not guilty in court. There should be CCTV evidence in the custody suite,and hopefully in the car that stop you,and even on the police officer who spoke to you, pity you didn't have time to put the mobile phone on record as soon as you were stopped, this is the first thing I would do now if ever stop without them knowing. They are becoming a law unto themselves you only need to see that from in the last 2 years how many Herefordshire Police have been sacked at Misconduct hearing, resigned before misconduct hearing and in last year 2 imprisoned for being sexual predators,and now on Sexual offenders register. My info from talking to one officer is two members of one family have left in a cloud one sacked and one resigned before hearing, what does that say about are local police

well the police have now moved to Bodenham road, as anyone else noticed !!! Don't the council realise all they are doing is moving it on not solving the problem sort sighted as usual

roger and ubique I thank you for your reply, it seems I have a lot to learn about the local press, and their thinking, and one must ask, when if this did happen, why isn't the local police issuing a statement. it seems everything round here is very hush hush secret squirrel etc etc.???

as a new member to this site, can I please ask a question does any one have any ideas why the HT haven't picked up on this story, if it was in other parts of country it would be national headlines, look at oxford recently I believe, and Blackburn. i'm confused ??
